SETTLEMENT DOCUMENTARY SERVICES

Trials are expensive, time consuming and unpredictable. Settling out of court is by far the preferred method for most cases, especially when the only real issue is how much the financial damages should be. Since your position will likely be much different than the opposing attorney, laying out your case in the form of a highly charged, graphic and emotional video (during the discovery phase) will go a long way to effect a rapid settlement and at a substantially higher figure.

With a Settlement Documentary, all aspects of your clients case are summarized in the form of a comprehensive video production and burned onto a DVD; Life as was before the incident, the incident itself, who was at fault (and why), expert witnesses, corroborative evidence, demonstrations, and of course your client's injuries. Most importantly, the totality of the resulting impact, vividly communicated to the opposing council.
When done well, the negligence, malpractice or liability brought on by their client versus the reality your client faces daily forces the emotions and extensive gravity of the situation. It quickly becomes very, very real. The opposing counsel soon has a different perception of the case and the alternative of a trial becomes an alternative which must be avoided.

They're not inexpensive, typically requiring 200-400 hours of production and editing time. Stringent review of collateral including such things as the accident report, police report, arrest records, depositions, sworn statements, medical records, x-rays and photos/videos of the scene are just the beginning. The middle phases generally consist of talking with (and subsequently filming) all who might provide a strong contribution, gathering B-roll and ancillary information and finally, piecing it all together in a way to elicit the most powerful impact. In effect, its typically a 10-30 minute movie complete with voice-overs, narration, scripting, filming, computer graphics and editing, all completed utilizing professional grade equipment. By their very nature, history has shown these pay for themselves many, many times over.
